Wastewater catalysis and purification 

A legacy of the former STRATOZ company, our patented disruptive technology uses specific strains of micro-algae to clean up wastewater from chemicals facilities contaminated by metals such as palladium oxides and nickel. Once the biomass is harvested and processed, these metals offer interesting catalytic properties.

Environment and technology 

 

This is a “two birds with one stone” technology:

  1. By sequestering precious metals in chemical facilities effluents, we improve wastewater treatment for our partners in industry.
  2. There is a very limited supply of rare metals used in chemical catalytic processes. Our technology means that industry can recycle these metals indefinitely while significantly reducing their cost.
  3. Our micro-algae combine these rare metals with other elements to produce metal complexes with excellent catalytic properties. The rare metals can therefore be re-used cost-effectively, without having to synthesize very costly ligands.
